About
I'm a human population geneticist developing statistical methods to better understand the effects of genetic variants on fertility traits and meiotic fidelity. I am currently a postdoctoral fellow in the [McCoy Lab](https://mccoy-lab.org/) at [Johns Hopkins University](https://bio.jhu.edu/). My broader [research interests](/research/) span theoretical and applied population genetics.
Previously, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Oxford in the group of [Pier Palamara](https://palamaralab.github.io/) and also worked as a computational biologist at a biotechnology startup.
I received my PhD in Human Genetics from the University of Chicago working with [John Novembre](http://jnpopgen.org/). My PhD research focused on developing new theory to understand population genetic datasets under different spatial and temporal sampling designs, alongside a number of empirical population genetic projects to understand human demographic history.
